Mint tea recipe

Sound like a good glass of mint tea?

This small glass of tea more or less sweet, more or less bitter depending on its degree of infusion.

Mint tea is a real social link, it is an institution, and offering a glass of mint tea is part of the rules of living in all Maghreb and Eastern countries.

But how to make authentic mint tea?

For 6 tea glasses, you need:

- A bouquet of fresh mint

- Two teaspoons of green tea.

- Sugar to your taste

Preparation:

Boil water.

Put the tea in the teapot, and pour the equivalent of a teaglass of boiling water over the green tea to rinse it off to remove the first notes of bitterness.

Empty the teapot while keeping the tea granules rinsed.

Add a bunch of fresh mint to the teapot, and sugar.

Pour boiling water.

Let it steep for a minute, then pour into a glass Tuareg style: starting down, then slowly going up.

Once the glass is full, put it back in the teapot. Repeat once or twice until a small golden foam appears.

Your tea is ready!

All that remains is to accompany your tea with an assortment of baklavas.

Tuareg proverb " The first glass is as sweet as life, the second as strong as love, the third is as strong as love"
